About me
I am a licensed mental health counselor, and a national certified counselor. I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations, a certification in women’s studies from Florida International University, and earned a master’s degree in mental health counseling from Nova Southeastern University. I have worked in inpatient, outpatient, and residential treatment settings, and within the homeless shelter community. My therapeutic approach encompasses several modalities and theories, and as such, I have developed an eclectic style and approach to mental health care, and have experience working with young adults struggling with substance abuse and behavioral health issues. My passion lies in helping individuals find their purpose in having a fulfilling life as I utilize motivational interviewing, dialectical behavior therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, and solution focused therapy in my work. My goal is to earn your trust, it is never the other way around. Let us journey together in having you rediscover self-compassion, empowerment, and inner strength.
