About me
I am an experienced Mental health therapist who specializes in Trauma, Depression, Anxiety and stress management. I am dedicated to helping those that want to learn how to cope with Depression, Anxiety, Anger and Trauma. I have years of experience working with the LGBTQ+ community as well as children and teens.
I have had 14 years of experience as a clinician in the state of Georgia. I graduated grad school at Georgia Southern University in 2008 with a Masters in Clinical Psychology. After leaving Statesboro to move to Atlanta, I gained experience with a variety of different populations that garnished me with more knowledge into the field of Psychology. I have worked with the Spanish speaking community, the LGBTQ+ community, with individuals living with AIDs and HIV, to working in the homes of anyone that needed support within the community. I have offered workshops and trainings to the community and organizations as well as trained local Police officers in Crisis interventions. I have developed multiple programs for multiple agencies in Atlanta as Director to the programs. I have provided supervision for those therapists interested in earning their full licensure to practice in the state of Georgia.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia. I received my Bachelor of Behavioral Science (B.B.S) degree in Psychology from Hardin Simmons University in Abilene, TX and a Master of Psychology (M.S.) degree from Georgia Southern University, Statesboro, GA. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor (CPCS), Certified-Dialectical Behavioral Therapist (C-DBT). I gained my clinical experience working in Community Mental Health, Residential Treatment Centers, Hospital settings, Mobile Crisis and Private Practice. I have worked extensively with children, adolescents, and adults who are dealing with the issues listed below.
