About me
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 8 years of experience working with individuals ranging from 18 months old to adults who have experienced trauma.
Francesca is a compassionate therapist who has primarily worked with children, teens and families that have experienced trauma including sexual abuse, physical abuse, neglect, emotional abuse and domestic violence. Francesca is dedicated to bringing awareness to working with at-risk youth and youths involved in the juvenile justice system, as well as working with children and families navigating the foster care system. Francesca’s therapeutic frame is client centered, non-judgmental and humanistic. Francesca believes all clients are seen as the expert in their lives and she attempts to guide them through internal awareness, interpersonal changes and healing. Francesca has the ability to meet the client where they are at and tailor the treatment approach to the client’s needs while being sensitive to how individual cultural identities and lifestyle choices impact experiences. Francesca accomplishes this by using evidenced based practices such as being Certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(TF-CBT), Certified in Child Parent Psychotherapy(CPP), Certified Clinical Trauma Professional Level II: Complex Trauma, Somatic Experiencing, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(CBT).
