You’ve been feeling a major lack of desire and it’s stressing you out. You’re overwhelmed and frustrated because you want to want sex but feel like no matter what you try, it’s not working. And now you even find yourself dreading or avoiding sex. You’re stuck in a lose-lose situation because you’re stressed when you try to have sex, and you’re stressed if you avoid it. I help individuals and couples who are overwhelmed and stressed with low libido understand their sex drives, decrease barriers to desire, and find more helpful ways to seek out better sex. I’ll help you see why focusing only on the sex hasn’t helped… but what can!
You’ll learn to let go of long-held unhelpful beliefs about sex, increase acceptance of your desire, and master new communication skills to help bring this exciting new info into your relationship. I’ll integrate problem deconstruction, stress reduction, and anxiety-reducing techniques to help you along the way.
There will be energy, humor, and direction in our sessions, as these can help motivate you when things feel overwhelming or scary because therapy doesn’t have to feel like that. We’ll highlight and celebrate progress often, so you’ll learn to enjoy the journey rather than solely focusing on the outcome.
