About me
I'm passionate about working with LGBTQIA+ folks, non-monogamous and kinky adults, and neurodiverse clients. I use a number of techniques that are tailored to each person. My experience has taught me that the most important aspect of therapy by far, is the relationship you cultivate with your therapist.
My name is Erin Gish-Stiles (she/they) and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing in California. I enjoy baking, I have two large dogs that may periodically announce themselves for dramatic purposes, and I am a huge supporter of self-care, rest, and recovery when possible.
I am emphatically supportive of client's being their own empowered narrator. I'm not the expert in who they are, because I haven't lived through everything that they have. I can provide additional or different tools and several different set of perspectives, but I take my lead from my client as we learn what works and what doesn't work for them. I hope be a strong advocate, an auditor of reality (in a curious way!) while validating experiences, and working with them to provide them with refined tools that they can use to build their own authentic lives, using all of the strengths that they inherently have.
