I am a mental health therapist dedicated to helping children, teens, young adults, and adults gain tools to manage anxiety, depression, and other concerns.
Life is tough! I know that many people face many challenges throughout their lifetime, sometimes many at once. That can be overwhelming, and sometimes you are not sure who to turn to. A therapist can be an unbiased and empathetic listening ear. A therapist can also help provide you with tools to overcome the obstacles that may be getting in the way of living your life fully. I work for that passionately for each of my clients.
Therapists have what is called a theory and a method. A theory attempts to explain human behavior, and a method is the type of intervention used to change thoughts and behaviors. My main theory is humanistic, and I use person-centered methods. However, because every client is different both within and without, it is important to tailor my approach to your needs. That means that I will also use CBT and TF-CBT approaches.
I also know that because of inner biases as well as cultural stigma, it can be difficult and intimidating to reach out to a professional and ask for help. I want you to know that I am already proud of you for considering reaching out to a therapist. You deserve to work towards your own personal goals, and you deserve to experience life to the full. I would be honored to journey with you. And if you do not reach out to me, I hope that you find a therapist that you feel you can reach out to.
