Emily Laconic, LICSW
Verified clinicians have had their licenses confirmed by our staff at the time they create their profile. We also require all verified therapists keep their licensing information up to date in order to maintain verified status.
Send your prospective therapist a brief message about why you’re seeking support, your preference for in-person or telehealth services, and how you’d like to be contacted moving forward. Note: Answers to many common questions can be found on the therapist’s profile page. If this is an emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest hospital.
I am an expierenced therapist who finds passion in helping people address and learn ways to cope with thier mental health symptoms.
I believe that mental health care should be accessible to everyone. I have been provided therapy for clients in their home and in the community for 6 years, and providing telehealth for 3 years. I have worked with a variety of different mental health conditions, physical disabilities, and diseases. I feel I am well equipped to handle any situation, and I am comfortable finding a therapist that is a better fit if a situation is presented to me, that I don’t feel knowledgeable enough about.
I like to meet clients where they are at and work on the issues they feel are causing the most distress in their life. As I get to know a client, we can explore different therapy approaches that would be a good fit for the client’s distress and issues that brought them to wanting mental health support. The approaches I gravitate towards are CBT, EFT (Emotional Freedom Tapping), Mindfulness, and Clinical Hypnosis. I also like to use aromatherapy, art, and sandtray play to support the healing process.
I am experienced in working with individuals (children age 5 to adult), couples and families.
