About me
I am passionate about breaking the stigma around mental health. My background is in trauma, substance use, and crisis intervention. I believe in using trauma-informed, evidence-based solutions sprinkled in with some humor and tough love. I am trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) which is similar to EMDR and other reprocessing therapies.
Come as you are. I am ready to meet you, as you are, in a healing, judgement-free zone. I want to learn about all the parts that make you unique. My own experiences have led to an understanding that our world is created through our beliefs, culture, values, and environment. Let's begin to unpack your journey together and discover new paths that are aligned with your goals.
I graduated from University of Central Florida (Go Knights!!!) with my Bachelor’s in Social Work in 2013. I did work with Heart of Florida United Way, 211, and suicide hotline then went on to do some case management for various agencies. I changed careers and ended up as a Sales Manager for local insurance agents. I was a top producing sales person that used her social work background to help build rapport and empathy with clients. I was faced with some big life changes that had me rethink my long-term career goals and led me to apply for my master’s degree. I graduated in 2022 with Master’s in Social Work with a clinical focus from Florida State University (Go Noles!!!). Since then I have been working with client’s experiencing anything from anxiety to trauma to substance use.
I feel so privileged to be a therapist. I am constantly humbled by client’s ability to be vulnerable, which shows a deep courage. I value authenticity, connection, trust, and curiosity. I will use these values to help guide our process. I am eager to break negative cycles, not only for myself, but for others too. Although I am warm and empathetic, I also do not f**k around with healing, so I will be real with you. I am ready when you are.
