Hey! My name is Elisa, I am a couples and trauma specialist. I help people break cycles, heal from trauma, heal their relationships, and step into a life worth living. I practice 100% in both California.
Are you tired of the way the way that things have been going. You want to level up in your life, take your relationships, work, and all the other areas of you to new heights. You know your issues run deep, and play out in your current relationships. You want a life free of mind blocks getting in the way of living life to it’s full potential. As a first gen who is in a multi-racial partnership, I have both lived experience and years of therapeutic experience addressing the very issues that run deep, and often can’t be addressed with a quick fix type of therapy. You want deep lasting change and I can help you get the life you deserve, by using a blend of approaches to help you be more mindful, increase your awareness, and live life more authentically.
Are you looking for a trauma or couples therapist? As a first gen myself in a biracial marriage, I know from lived experience just how important addressing cultural issues can be in order to make lasting change in our lives. I know how difficult exploring culture and how hard it is to find balance, not wanting to say something is bad or wrong but instead just figuring out how to live a life more inline with our values so that we can live more authentically.
Because of my training as a marriage and family therapist, I have an edge in being able to think systemically. When I see a human, I get that there is so much more in front of me. I understand how impactful our childhoods are at shaping us, and how we take a little bit of perspective from the people in our lives. I will teach you skills needed to help you heal inner child wounds that often lead to our adult tantrums. We will work together to unpack, unlearn, and relearn.
I firmly believe that some of our biggest challenges have roots in our childhoods, that mind blocks come from a deep place. Often it is a generational thing, our imperfect parents doing the best that they can, leaving us with struggles that we can choose to overcome as adults. I am first generation Latinx, and found myself living these struggles first hand, and with my own work I have been able to stop and think again. Now I want to be able to provide a space for others to do the same. I happen to be married to someone of a different race and once again I find myself thinking again, unlearning, and relearning. I understand clash of cultures both personally and professionally and use this to inform my work with those who also have diverse backgrounds including interracial marriages and partnerships. As a therapist I am down to earth and actively engage in conversations. I don’t preach that I know it all but I actively try to practice what I talk about to my clients. Ready for deep lasting change? I hope to connect with you soon!
