About me
I am a Black Genderqueer clinical psychologist who strives to provide a holistic approach to mental, emotional, spiritual and physical well-being. Whether that be on an individual, community, organizational and/or systemic level.
The decision to pursue counseling can be a tough but courageous step. People choose to seek out therapy for a variety of reasons, whether it is to explore and better understand parts of self or to address specific areas of concerns. WaterYourFire Wellness Collective works with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and presenting concerns. WYFWC currently operates via Telehealth Therapy (online). When it is safe (i.e., when COVID-19 is less of a threat) to do so there may be options for in-person services.
WaterYourFire Wellness Collective specializes in working with Black, Indigenous and people of color (BIPOC), LGBTQ-GNC+ individuals, and folks navigating trauma related to ethno-racial identity, class, sexuality, gender identity and expression, and sexual violence.
We also work with couples, multiple partner relationships, and families. Whether you’re looking to strengthen your connection in your life or looking to to repair and re-establish healthy boundaries, communication styles, conflict resolution, and trust in your relationship(s)/family dynamic.
In addition to therapeutic services WYFWC takes pride in offering supervision that focuses on training affirming and anti-oppressive clinicians. Our supervision model focuses on strengthening discipline specific developmental/professional competencies, multiculturalism, professional identity development, and mentorship. Supervisees/trainees work collaboratively with supervisors to develop an individualized supervision plan. We provide guidance, empowerment, and mentorship to support your progress toward career goals.
