I am Dr. Hiza Jackson-Price, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist with over 19 years of experience working with clients with a broad range of concerns, including those who have suffered domestic and/or sexual abuse, other traumatic events, and mood and anxiety disorders. I've provided individual and group counseling to individuals who are chemically dependent, families and couples, as well as the active-duty military and Veteran populations. My counseling style is empathic and interactive. I believe the counseling experience is a deeply personal interaction in which the most crucial aspects of this relationship are trust, respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. Counseling is a joint effort that cannot be successful without your hard work, energy, and courage. I practice client-centered, humanistic, cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused and motivational interviewing counseling approaches.
I believe that a sense of self understanding and acceptance is essential in all situations, including understanding how our past experiences have shaped the way we view ourselves, as well as how we understand relating to others. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. If you are ready to take that courageous step towards change for a more fulfilling and happier life, I am here to support and empower you. I look forward to working with you!
