I strive to support for your needs, worth, and voice but challenge you as needed to consider different routes in reaching your goals. The overwhelming feelings that come with trauma, parenting, blended families, partner connection, developmental struggles, and mental well-being can seem unbearable. I am here to support you in your ability to transition into new phases and face challenges in your journey. I work with individuals but within systems of the families and couples. Engaging the entire unit digs deeper to find the root of the cause and transforms perspectives, rebuilds trust, and improves connections. I specialize in maternal/paternal mental health, parent-child concerns, family/couple conflict, blended families, adolescent issues and help all ages cope with anxiety, depression, self esteem, life transitions, stress, and complex trauma.

Being a native of Detroit, MI, I moved to Alabama when I began my path of counseling. I hold many roles including being a mother and wife. I believe that each person that sits in front of me is an expert of their experiences, and I am a source of support as you process emotions, understand your strengths, and discovering your own solutions. Taking the driver seat may seem scary but I am happy to accompany in the ride of your personal growth and learning to trust yourself. As a therapist, I aim to help make room for possibilities and expand your sense of self within your narrative. With life’s highlights and challenges, each layer and role in your life makes you uniquely you. My goal is to provide a safe space for you to manage the ups and downs so your story is not so problem saturated and be able to tell it in a positive light.
