About me

Welcome, and thank you for taking the time to review my page. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Certified Dialectical Behavioral Therapist (C-DBT), and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor specializing in individual, couples, families, and substance abuse counseling. With over 21 years of experience as a marriage and family therapist, I am currently a private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. My areas of expertise are family therapy, substance abuse counseling, care management, and working with children and families with identified special needs.

My love of helping people began as a young child. I have always been the "go-to" person when family and friends need an ear to listen. As I grew older, my life experiences inspired me to work in the human services field. Upon graduating from college and post-secondary higher education, my passion has been to empower my clients to heal and recover from their past trauma, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and substance abuse. My practice is located in the Central Maryland area currently servicing clients via telehealth.

As a trained EMDR, Brainspotting, Emotional Freedom Tapping, and Cognitive-Behavioral/ Solution-focused therapist, my therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
