About me
I am a dedicated social worker committed to helping individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, and pet grief and loss. I have a passion for assisting children with intellectual disabilities, providing them with a voice and support.
I am a Licensed Master Social Worker in New York and Connecticut with a unique and diverse professional background. After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from SUNY Purchase in 2011, I spent over a decade in the veterinary field. Guided by a deep desire to give back and support individuals and communities, I transitioned to social work in 2021 to pursue my passion for helping those in need, especially individuals tied to the veterinary community, both pet parents and veterinary staff.
I earned my Master of Social Work degree from Capella University, where I became proficient in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and gained valuable experience working with children with autism and other developmental or behavioral disabilities. My work centers on supporting children and teenagers facing everyday challenges, as well as those with intellectual disabilities who may struggle to express themselves. I am also dedicated to supporting those grieving the loss of their beloved companion animal through individual and group support as a Certified Grief Informed Professional (CGP).
I am deeply passionate about empowering individuals to recognize their potential and create meaningful change in their lives. With a commitment to fostering resilience and promoting well-being, I bring humor and creativity to my practice, continuously striving to find innovative ways to connect with and support those in need of a helping hand.
