About me
Certified trauma professional, offering a safe space to heal and grow through treatment.
Hello all!
I'm Destiny, a licensed associate counselor working at a group practice in metro Atlanta. I have been in practice for three years but I have accumulated experience in the mental health field as a paraprofessional and student for over five years. I have worked with diverse groups of individuals in group homes, private practice, and inpatient psychiatric care. I believe that my experience working in diverse settings has given me the opportunity to understand the needs and sensitivities surrounding those with moderate to severe mental illness and at-risk/marginalized groups. This experience within the mental health field is why I have adopted the use of providing integrative treatment to suit each client's needs.
I specialize in trauma therapy, women's issues, and mood disorders but I have experience treating various other issues and psychiatric disorders which I have listed in my profile. If you would like to know more please feel free to email me and if you are on social media platforms I have a blog, IG, and FB dedicated to BIPOC/minority mental health awareness you can also find in my profile.
