I have been a licensed clinical social worker for over 25 years as well as an author, speaker on the local, state, national and international level and a former teacher. I provide therapy, coaching and life skills for those wishing to Re-Design their lives.
My clients would probably tell you that I am sensitive, patient, lighthearted and a good listener. Since no two people are alike, I use gentle, encouraging and eclectic therapeutic approaches to address issues such as anger management, anxiety, ADHD, depression, phobias, trauma and PTSD.
Together we will find ways of untangling those issues that interfere in creating the life you want to live. Although I have had not training in substance abuse issues and am not allow to treat them according to my licensure, all other issues are welcome for discussion, and you may take whatever time you need to work through them. Your therapy will be designed by you!
My belief is that my clients should guide their therapist as to where they want to go and what their goals are. I specialize in supporting people who are motivated to solve problems and want to re-design their lives. Whether those problems stem from relationships issues (including gaslighting and manipulation), anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions or resolution of childhood traumas, therapy CAN work.
Since COVID opened up the possibility of providing telehealth, I have recognized its value. It has allowed mental health providers to provide care for those throughout the states where they are licensed, which for me is Texas, Louisiana, and Florida. It is essential that I provide a safe and supportive space for my clients. Teletherapy allows the opportunity for my client to choose that space.
