About me
I am accepting new clients and the following insurance: Aetna, Cigna, Oscar, Oxford, and United Health. I am also an out-of-network provider and accept self-pay clients. I have worked in various settings of change and growth since 2014. My experience includes children, adults, families, substance abuse, and residential treatment centers. I use a variety of therapies and techniques including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I use a body, mind, and soul approach to treating mental illness and other challenges we all face in our lives.
I am the founder and owner of Caterpillar Counseling LLC where the motto is"We make changes from the inside out". I believe counseling/therapy is supposed to be a time of transformation, where the client gets to learn about themselves and develop into the person they were meant to be. My approach is to guide the client through the process of change and healing with the destination being resilience and security in self. As someone who has had many different experiences, I believe I bring a unique perspective and understanding to clients to guide them effectively in their process. I believe it is important that the sessions be tailored to the client's needs and that the client is part of the decisions in their treatment. It has been my experience that the truth is what sets us free and is often a change agent. The question then becomes do you want to change and are you willing to do the work necessary to meet your goals? If this is you then I am the therapist for you. I believe in using multiple interventions to help clients reach their goals and in meeting the client where they are at. The common goal for counseling /therapy is to work with the client to build their resilience and heal as needed.
I am a graduate of Liberty University where I obtained my Master's Degree in Professional Counseling. I am also a graduate of Ashford University where I received my Bachelor's degree with a double major in Psychology and Child Development.
I completed my internship while working in Substance Abuse. Prior to achieving my Master's degree, I worked with individuals children and families.
