Experienced child and family therapist who centers identity in processing anxiety, depression, and trauma using tools like anime, video games, and social media to build connections with clients.
I grew up as an “Army Brat” who went to three different high schools in three years, and am a first-generation college graduate. I draw upon my experiences of transitions, grief & loss, and identity exploration as a biracial (African American and Pacific Islander) man in my clinical work with children and their families. I am trained in experiential play therapy, TF-CBT, and EMDR, but choose to take an interpersonal approach to lessen the stigma and worry that sometimes comes with starting a therapeutic relationship. Outside of work, I will most likely be spending time with my dog, Maya, and my cat, Cinnamon, playing video games, watching anime, or learning about cryptocurrencies and stocks.
