About me
Stress, trauma, and finances are all issues that can alter your mood. We can work together to develop a treatment plan specifically for you. I utilized multiple theories to help you achieve different goals. When you are consistent and compliant goals can be accomplished. I work with family, mood, boundaries, etc. issues. I provide individual, group, marriage, and family therapy. My areas of focus include addiction, depression, anxiety, trauma, behavioral issues, family conflict, grief and loss, communication, marriage, and family therapy. My therapy approach focuses on the therapeutic relationship, which I hope will allow you to journey through life’s challenges, struggles, joys, surprises, and changes.
I earned my master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and have been in the behavioral health field for over 10 years. I have a strong belief in the potential for growth and healing at all stages of life. I also have extensive experience working with children, adults, and elderly.
Cornelia Williams is a Savannah native and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She received her bachelor’s degree at Savannah State University in Behavior Analysis. Cornelia worked with children with autism for four years where she was able to help them learn new ways to communicate. She worked with military families and helped them develop resources for a support group. Then Cornelia went to Walden University for a Master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling when she saw a need to help the families of her clients. She started working with families and students in her community to bring awareness of mental health issues. Cornelia is currently working to develop a substance abuse group for adolescents at her current employment. Cornelia is a National Certified Counselor (NCC) with the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) organization. She has experience working with children, adults, and families in different clinical settings as well as experience treating various mood disorders. She uses eclectic therapy styles to provide the best service for her clients. In her spare time Cornelia loves to spend her time with family and friends. She enjoys practicing self-care by going to the spa and relaxing on her days off.
