Connie Palacio, Mental Health Provider
Verified clinicians have had their licenses confirmed by our staff at the time they create their profile. We also require all verified therapists keep their licensing information up to date in order to maintain verified status.
Send your prospective therapist a brief message about why you’re seeking support, your preference for in-person or telehealth services, and how you’d like to be contacted moving forward. Note: Answers to many common questions can be found on the therapist’s profile page. If this is an emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest hospital.
I am an experience counselor helping those experiencing personal, emotional, relationship, family, or psychological struggles. Therapy is a journey of growth and self discovery. Let's embark on that life journey together!
I am a Licensed Family and Marriage Therapist and Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with over 12 years of experience providing in person and online therapy for individuals, couples, and groups counseling, I am a Marriage and Family Therapy and Social Work Board Approved Supervisor. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship problems, sexual health and sexuality, couple problems, intimacy problems, trauma, domestic abuse, divorce and separation, parenting problems, attachment, adoption and foster care, grief and loss, immigration issues, posttrauma, OCD and learning difficulties. I also helped many people who have experienced emotional/ verbal, physical, or sexual abuse or assault.
My counseling style is warm, patient, kind and interactive. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, client centered, emotionally couples therapy, narrative, solution focused, psychodynamic and systemic counseling. Together we will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. As you get ready to start this journey, I will be there to support and empower you.
I enjoy and feel honored to be a part of someone’s personal experiences, as our problems and feelings are unique and yet we are all one and together. This is the way I like to approach my sessions – as a team, addressing challenges together to become free from judgment, criticism, and pain; to change our negative perceptions that do not serve us well; and to live a joyful and peaceful life.
For my professional growth, I continuously read related literature, keep myself up to date with the ethical and legal guidelines in the field, and the latest research, and attend conferences and trainings.
In my personal and free time I like to spend time with my family and our new puppy. I love traveling, skiing, playing tennis, running, trying new restaurants, and going to any fun event.
