About me

Experience with a wide array of issues with various populations with a client centered approach.

My approach to therapy is to ask a lot of questions, as I want to understand where clients are coming from and to be better able to meet the client where they are. If I don't understand something, I would like you to teach me. Therapy is educational for all involved and it is the clinician's responsibility to adjust to the needs of the client.
Clients can expect to gain insight and understanding of themselves and others. Additionally, client's can expect to set goals that guide therapy on a regular basis and to specifically define areas of concentration.

I am available to work with ADHD, anxiety, impulsiveness, substance abuse issues, depression, relationship issues, PTSD, general mental health issues, stress management, adjustment disorders, domestic violence, maternal mental health, military lifestyles issues, women's issues, trauma, grief/bereavement, by all means this is not a complete list. My style includes, empowering, being open minded, with a holistic approach.

I have lead workshops for development: growth and developmental psychology and worked in classrooms. I am trained in DBT and EMDR. I have a B.A. with major in psychology, an M.S. Ed. in counselor education, and am 18 credit hours away from graduating with a Psy.D. I have worked with children, adolescents, couples, and individuals.
