About me
I am a seasoned clinical social worker with 38 years of professional experience in hospitals, private practice and clinics.
I believe good mental health means well-rounded life choices about physical, mental/emotional and spiritual needs based on your values. The journey in therapy is to be more mindful, accepting of what is good and normal in these choices, and being more content with your life. I use many trauma-related therapy techniques including EMDR, IFS, CBT-I, mindfulness, DBT and CPT as my specialty has been healthy coping with trauma during my career, including with war veterans and active duty military as well and first responders and their families. It has been a profound and sacred work to share about grief, and other needed places to seek better understanding and coping while in therapy. I see adults at this point in my work life. I give my clients a lot of credit for the brave choice to come and disclose the hard parts of life in a therapeutic environment. I hope to create a place of safety, respect and a good holding space for them to share, grow and go on successfully in their life walk.
