About me
I am a warm and friendly mental health practitioner with years of experience working with children, teens, young adults, adults, and families. As a CSW, I work with adults and children who have experienced trauma (cPTSD), are neurodivergent (ASD, ADHD, ADD), or are experiencing anxiety, OCD, obsession/compulsion, or depression.
My name is Cinna and I have a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Boston University and hold an additional Master in Education (M. Ed). I have completed extensive course work in the treatment of trauma and working with children and families. I specialize in treating children, teens and adults with childhood trauma and/or physical or sexual abuse histories. I also work with complex PTSD.
I help clients with a variety of concerns including trauma, anxiety, obsessions/compulsions, depression, parenting issues, sibling conflicts, school problems, career challenges, and life challenges. I also work with neurodivergent (ADD, ADHD, ASD) children and adults and their families.
I am Level 1 trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and am Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) trained. I am also trained in the expressive technique of sandtray therapy. CBT, CPT for PTSD, DBT, and FLASH are all modalities I incorporate into treatment. I also bring years of experience with the educational system and a deep understanding of how trauma and neurodivergence can impact academic and career performance and relationships.
I am a warm, non-judgmental, and friendly counselor who believes in using the power of mindfulness, movement, and the body to help heal minds and increase self-awareness. I believe that becoming more self-led and self-compassionate is the key to lasting change and growth. I can provide support and help through your journey to get to know why you do the things you do, and how to help yourself do something different and heal.
I would love to work with you or your child and am currently accepting new clients at our new Richfield location.
