About me
Are you living life at the level of victory and happiness that you desire? Many struggle to conquer the thoughts and feelings that keep them locked in fear, hurt and uncertainty. I help people identify core beliefs and change their thoughts and feelings to line up with God's Word. God loves you. He likes you and is interested in you! God is not mad at you.
Hi, I'm Cindy. I integrate faith-based principles with evidence based treatment protocols so the whole person can receive opportunity for healing and change. The majority of my practice is helping people recover from toxic relationships and codependency. I thrive in helping people realize it is okay to like themselves and change is possible. God wants you to wake up every morning content, alive and ready to face the day, not depressed, full of dread and exhaustion.
Negative self-talk has become so normal that most of us can shred our entire worth in 3.2 seconds. We are so brutal to ourselves. We would never say the things we say to ourselves to someone else – in fact that would horrify us. Yet almost daily we betray ourselves and think nothing of it. Then we wonder why we are not happy, content or peaceful. We seem to have become quite content murdering our own identity all day long. We don’t talk about this form of abuse, no no, we keep this hidden. We keep this so hidden that we can’t hear the positive things about ourselves and when we do – we discard it immediately for something negative. We’ve actually re-wired our brains to think this way about ourselves.
I treat adults, older adolescents, and couples. I am a Gottman Couple's Counselor. I am Nationally Board Certified Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Missouri. Trained in EMDR therapy I help people recover from trauma. As Certified Grief Specialist with the Grief Recovery Institute; an organization accepted and implemented with world-wide recognition I also help people process through grief.
