About me

I am an experienced Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in helping adults 18+ with depression, anxiety, and trauma issues.

Are you struggling with a life change, feel stuck, or lost? Have your feelings of stress, anxiety, and/or depression become unmanageable? Has your health, career, and/or relationships declined? Maybe it is something else... life can be filled with unforeseen challenges and changes. I am here to listen with empathy and provide you a space to return to wholeness, return to the true you, and to experience more personal freedom.

I am a caring and trustworthy professional with over 12 years of experience working in the mental health field. I have an experienced approach that utilizes an integration of scientifically grounded psychological interventions that can be tailored for you. Depending on your specific life issues and comfort level, I implement intervention strategies from multiple counseling approaches. I am flexible and willing to listen to you and what is going to help you most!

My style of therapy involves deep listening and compassion at its root. I am a firm believer in the utilization of mindfulness and relaxation skills to help us slow down/self-regulate and gather insight/personal wisdom into our lives. When those skills are not enough, I am a trauma informed counselor that can implement Cognitive Processing Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and narrative therapies to assist with desensitizing and integrating traumatic memories.

Information about my credentials and experience: I have completed a Master of Science (M.S.) degree, in Clinical and Counseling Psychology, from Chestnut Hill College. In addition, I also completed a Post Master’s Certificate of Advanced Studies in Professional Counseling and Licensure Preparation from Chestnut Hill College. Currently, I hold a license as a professional counselor (LPC) in the state of Pennsylvania since 2018. I maintain membership with the American Counseling Association since 2016.

I have been working in the mental health field since graduating from Pennsylvania State University with a B.A. in Psychology in 2012. I began my career supporting individuals in a psychiatric facility diagnosed with Axis I and Axis II conditions. During my graduate studies I worked in a community program supporting families with children presenting with behavioral diagnoses such as Autism, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, ADHD, and trauma related diagnoses. After completing my graduate work at Chestnut Hill I transitioned to the outpatient setting as a professional counselor. I have facilitated Mindfulness group therapy for adults as a treatment for managing depression/anxiety/pain management. I have worked extensively with the adolescent and juvenile population providing counseling services in the school, detention centers, and local shelters. I also had the privilege to counsel youth in the foster care system in a Community Residential and Rehabilitation program. Since 2021 I have focused on providing outpatient services to adults in private practice. I have continued to pursue clinical training in the area of Internal Family Systems, becoming a Certified Mindfulness-Informed Professional and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional through Evergreen Certifications.
