About me
I am dual certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and a Family Nurse Practitioner. I have been in the health care field for more 16 years, working in different capacities in the hospital setting, health department setting, as well as in private practice.
I am passionate about helping individuals who are facing mental health challenges find the solutions they have been looking for. I believe in working together in partnership with you, to address the issues that concern you using evidence-based treatment that have been shown to be effective.
I use Telemedicine services to allow you to be seen in the comfort of your own environment. I am open and non-judgmental. I am a great listener and work with you to come up with a treatment plan that you are comfortable with. I work as your guide in partnership with you.
During our first session, we discuss your reason for seeking care, your prior mental and medical history, what has worked and hasn't worked, and your goal. I then use diagnostic tools to assess your symptoms, after which a diagnosis is formulated. Then, a treatment plan is developed to address your symptoms. I usually would see you for a follow up visit 2 to 4 weeks later to re-evaluate for effectiveness of treatment, after which a subsequent follow up visit schedule is developed.
My goal is that after a few sessions, you will notice a decrease in your symptoms. The treatment plan is subject to change based on your response to treatment.
