About me

I am an experienced psychotherapist who is dedicated to helping adults cope with anxiety, depression, anger, chronic illness, caregiver stress, life transitions and manage their anger.

Let’s Talk!..Talk about the things you can’t or won’t say to anyone who knows you, for fear of being judged, being called a “bad person” or stating that something is wrong with you for expressing how you feel. Let’s talk about the difficulties you are experiencing, whether its work, school, your relationship or stress. Let’s talk if you are the one who everyone comes to, to discuss their own problems, never figuring that you might have problems of your own or if you don’t have anyone to talk to. If you are looking for your own “Oasis”, where you can come to discuss whatever, you want without fear of being judged, come and let’s talk it out. To vent, explore, discover, reflect and be empowered. No judgement, no fallout, just a safe haven for you to work out the things you need to, because you always put yourself last and everyone else first.

Professional Statement:

Celestine enjoys working with most populations, such as adults, young adults, teenagers, and seniors. Also, people with special needs such as Autism, those individuals coping with a medical diagnosis or supporting a loved one with a medical diagnosis, and those afflicted with Depression and Anxiety.
Celestine’s approach to therapy is person-centered. Meaning, she provides a safe and nurturing environment, where she listens to the meaning behind the words spoken by the client, to provide insight, promote reflection and to foster growth. While Celestine utilizes various treatment modalities such as CBT, Supportive Therapy, Mindfulness, Adjustment Counseling, Stress Management, Solution-Focused Therapy, etc., she finds it is better to customize her client’s treatments utilizing various modalities based on client’s current issues, needs, history (familial, medical, psychiatric) and experiences. Celestine believes since we are all different, no one treatment modality would fit all issues.
Celestine has worked at Head Injury Association counseling individuals with Traumatic Brain injuries; performed assessments and counseling for Seniors at Complexcare Solutions, and works with individuals afflicted with severe mental illness at New Horizon Counseling Center. Celestine is currently available for remote sessions at this time.

Therapist Bio:

Frederick Douglas once said, "Without struggle there can be no progress.” Where we are now as a society and what we are dealing with is a struggle. As individuals and/or a group, we’re experiencing stress like never before. The daily roles we perform take an immense toll on our minds, bodies and souls. Or, maybe this experience has forced you to focus on yourself in a way you never have before? Let me meet you where you’re at in this moment. Whether you are a caregiver to challenging times to unemployment, etc., let me be your guide and together we can explore your past and/or current issues in your struggle, towards the future, you envision for yourself.
While I am versed in helping a client change his/her negative thought patterns or beliefs, I also use other treatments which helps the client with adjusting to difficulties or life transitions. I focus on solutions appropriate for you the client, concentrating on your awareness, and dealing with managing your stress. I believe in creating a “safe space” which nurtures the client-therapist relationship, and leads you towards empowerment and growth. I believe in meeting you where you’re at based on your needs, history and experiences. Working together we can get you closer to your ideal self. A self, you envision without hesitation and fear, but with hope.
