Catherine Turner, M.Div., LCSW

I am a theologically-trained, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, who believes that each person is capable of achieving his or her goals and that this can be done through non-judgmental support of a therapist. I aim to use my knowledge and experience to help you reach your goals and be successful.

My passion and purpose for faith-based therapy is founded in the Word of God, and supported by the principles of social work: respecting the inherent dignity and worth of a person. This comes up often as many people want to increase their self-esteem. Part of my role as your therapist is to remind you that you have value in this world. That may sound contradictory to what society or the self-critical voices inside try to make us believe. Together, we can look past the negativity and search for the truth, working to identify your positive core beliefs.

I have experience working with both women and men. My specialties include Christian counseling, substance abuse, grief and loss, and trauma. I've also worked with individuals to learn healthy coping skills, move through a significant loss, and communicate more effectively in relationships.

I firmly believe that change is possible, no matter how difficult it may seem. Years ago, I made the choice to prioritize myself and tend to what needed healing, emotionally and mentally. My personal transformation is proof that I believe in this process. My hope is that you would allow me to join you now on your journey toward a life well-lived.
