l approach therapy with a psychodynamic lens with an emphasis on trainings in trauma work. I work with EMDR and IFS as my main interventions and will occasionally throw in some Cognitive Behavioral therapy. I specialize in survivors of childhood abuse, and undoing the coping mechanisms that no longer serve you. Every experience that we have as humans is collected and used by our brains as data to help us interact with the world around us. My goal is help focus on the blessings and positives, working through the negative experiences to live life with an inner monologue that is kinder, and more peaceful.
Progressive overload is my philosophy for all aspects of life. Setting those small, easily attainable goals daily, weekly, and monthly are the key to staying on track and progressing towards ultimate goals in life. With this philosophy I track progress over time instead of by how close I am to the end. This increases the pleasure in the journey as well as pushing to achieve more than I originally thought possible!
