About me
I am an interactive, family systems therapist with twenty-six years of combined experience in the fields of Counseling and Human Resources Consulting. I work with a wide range of individuals and families to include children, adolescents, single parents, blended families, self-referred adults, and mandated clientele. I take a family-centered approach to therapy, which challenges the certainty that the individual alone is the problem, but rather focuses on the individual within the family context.
My areas of expertise include mood disorders, trauma resolution, chemical dependency diagnosis and treatment, self-esteem and co-dependency, family and relationship counseling, parent-child conflict, career and life transition counseling, self-expressive modalities, and groups for children, adolescents, and women.
I view the therapeutic relationship as a partnership through which we discover and select treatment goals, examine obstacles to progress, recognize options, and build on strengths; all within an environment that instills confidence in a positive treatment outcome. My primary focus is to maximize the cognitive, emotional, and behavioral potential within you.
