Carol Blechl, LCSW

I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) who has over 20 years of clinical experience in both public and private sector settings working with diverse populations. I work with adults (18+) and have specialized expertise in working with trauma, depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, relationships issues and situational stress.

I received both my bachelor’s degree (1991) and my Master’s degree (1994) in Psychology from State University of New York-College at Brockport. I also earned an additional master’s degree in social work from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2000. I have been a licensed provider in the state of Virginia since 2005.
As your therapy provider, I will work closely with you using an individualized and collaborative approach. My clinical style includes Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Oriented Therapy, both EMDR and narrative therapy for trauma and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
I strive to provide a validating and safe environment for change and am committed to helping each of my clients on his or her unique journey toward wellness.
My services are reimbursable by most insurance companies through out of network (OON) benefits. I provide an invoice each session for you to submit directly to your insurance provider.
