About me
I am an experienced Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to my clients explore, understand current hurts, issues and unhelpful patterns in their lives in order to make positive, noticeable differences in their day to day. I specialize in anxiety, depression, pregnancy, postpartum, relationships, high conflict relationships and life transitions and adjustments.
First and foremost, I’m dedicated to creating a space where you feel safe, heard and seen. In our sessions, we will explore whatever may be bringing you in at your pace in a way that fits your personality, experience and strengths.
I take a very collaborative approach in order to help you achieve your goals. I often use humor in session and my clients typically find me down to earth, approachable and direct. I’m not the kind of therapist that sits in silence. I am also not the expert on your life, and I won’t pretend to be. I do have training, credentials and experience in order to partner with you in your counseling journey.
I will use multiple modalities during our work together depending on your strengths and needs. Some of these include: IFS (internal family systems), CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), family systems, DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy), attachment based therapy and others.
I earned my masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and received my Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Colorado after making a career switch from operations in the Denver technology start-up world. After this shift and before founding Daybreak Counseling, I worked in both youth substance abuse programs and within the community mental health environment. I have experience working with a large range of mental health struggles from schizophrenia, depression and anxiety, relationship issues, family tensions, identity struggles, trauma and more. I love working with people to overcome, adapt, grow and change; truly an honor.
