About me
Accepting New Clients: Anxiety, Depression, Stress, Trauma, Relationship Struggles? I'd love to help! I work with individuals, couples, and families to create a therapeutic relationship that fosters healing and growth. From an attachment-based theory, I believe that although much pain can enter our lives through our relationships, relationships are also the conduit of healing, including the therapeutic relationship. I believe that in our pursuit of mental, emotional, spiritual, and relational health, it is necessary to combine evidence-based clinical care with empathetic support to help clients achieve their therapeutic goals.
Brittany is passionate about connecting with individuals, couples, and families to create a therapeutic relationship that fosters healing and growth. From an attachment-based theory, Brittany believes that although much pain can enter our lives through our relationships, relationships are also the conduit of healing transformation, including the therapeutic relationship. Brittany believes that in our pursuit of mental, emotional, spiritual, and relational health, it is necessary to combine evidence-based clinical care with empathetic support to help clients achieve their therapeutic goals. Brittany's passion is to help clients discover the root of their distress and to apply wisdom and truth found in counseling psychology to bring about healing and wellbeing.
Graduating with her Masters of Science in Clinical Counseling from Charleston Southern University, Brittany's education and experience as an LPC-A has equipped her with the knowledge to meet the therapeutic needs of her clients. Prior to working as an LPC-A, Brittany worked for many years with students, young adults, and individuals in vocational ministry. While working in ministry, Brittany recognized the increasing need for individuals struggling with trauma, mental illness, depression, anxiety and other issues to receive proper care and treatment, alongside their faith practices, in order to live more healthy and productive lives. It was through these relationships and interactions that she began to recognize the Lord leading her to integrate a biblical worldview with a clinical counseling education in order to be a vessel of His healing to those in greatest need. From this calling, Soul Care Counseling was created in July of 2022.
When not meeting with clients, Brittany enjoys being active outdoors with her husband, Bruce, step-son, Mason, and Golden Retriever, Sadie Mae. Her family is actively involved in Seacoast Church in Mount Pleasant, SC. She loves to workout, play golf, dine at all the fabulous restaurants in Charleston, and end her day at golden hour on the beach.
