About me
Helping professional, caring, empathetic, and supportive. I have a predominant background working with children and adolescents.
I am the Clinical Director and a therapist at Alliance Mental Health. A bit of my background, I am not a Colorful Colorado native. I grew up in Massachusetts. I enjoy watching waves, smelling salt water and feeling the sunshine. I have taken many adventures across Colorado with my family and 3 Bernedoodles.
I believe the process of healing is a collaborative. With competent guidance in a therapeutic setting you will obtain emotional stability.
I have experience working in various helping professional roles since 2016. The path in obtaining my MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling provided myself the education and experience to follow the professional realm I am most passionate about- direct clinical therapy.
I have worked with individuals facing challenges including depression, anxiety, ADHD, mood disorders, personality disorders, school issues, bullying, trauma, grief, self-esteem issues, parental separation, self harm, suicidal ideation among other various areas.
The process in therapy is two people sitting down, talking about the truth, talking about the lies which are the ones we tell ourselves and begin to feel, they no longer maintain are our truth.
These lies we believe are centered from thoughts , feelings, and our personal irrational beliefs.
Therapy is delicate process, a vulnerable process and a therapist shall not impose their agenda- it shall remain a space of safe unconditional regard for the individual who seeks support.
I am not a bandaid therapist- your treatment planning is not a cookie cutter style- it is unique to meet your needs.
I take the gift to support you very seriously. In unity we can uncover what barriers you face that stand in the way of your healing.
There is no magic wand to this process- it’s hard work, it’s compassion in learning to truly feel valued in this world with your own conditions - not the expectations of others place on you.
This adventure supports peace of mind in order to become more fully open to a new experience . There is no human that cannot benefit from someone who truly listens and supports in an empathetic manner, an ethical lens and a professional manner.
All of us are unique and deserve a well thought out plan for goals to be successfully attained in collaboration. An alliance is truly what I choose to be a part of and that rings true with the outstanding professionals at Alliance Mental Health.
