I have a passion for recovery that uses a person-centered approach and honors the client’s own experiences and values to direct their recovery. My areas of interest are co-occurring disorders and substance use disorders, and am able to work with many other types of disorders that a client might face.
I am a licensed alcohol and drug (LADC) counselor, and a pre-license MS (LPCC) that has worked in residential and outpatient settings for the last 9 years. I have a BS in Addiction Studies and Counseling from North Central University in 2013, and an MS in Clinical Mental Health from Grand Canyon University in 2020. I use a relaxed but direct approach that allows clients to relax and focus on their goals in treatment and in therapy. I use approaches from cognitive behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, and acceptance and commitment therapy.
