In her clinical work, Audrey has experience working with complex trauma, anxiety, ADHD, depression, and Alzheimer’s. Audrey has worked in school settings, both elementary and middle school age, where she utilized a range of art modalities to help patients work through personal problems and encourage client expression. In tandem, Audrey has worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant, in home-care based environments and in private facilities. Audrey strongly believes healing is not simply alleviating physical pain, but rather mind-body connection, and finding a sustainable state of well-being. Audrey offers a person-centered approach to care, one in which compassion and understanding are key to a strong therapeutic relationship. Audrey utilizes an integrative approach; including CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, Family Systems Theory, and Talk therapy. With the belief that each case is unique and complex, she refines her approach to best suit each individual’s needs. Audrey is passionate about innovative growth methods, expressional therapy and self-awareness. Her aim is to improve individual wellness through targeted art-based therapeutic services, and interactive engagement.
Audrey’s passion led her to expand upon the meaning of care, and pursue a MPS in Creative Arts Therapy & Creativity Development, at Pratt Institute. Audrey believes that care is strengthened when holding a holistic lens, looking at one’s environments and family dynamics. Her approach utilizes kindness and active listening at its base, in order to develop a strong and trusting rapport, and to facilitate best possible care. Her aim is to improve patient outlook and daily living and to find new coping strategies and techniques for an enhanced quality of life. In her free time, Audrey loves to connect with nature and people through street photography and sketching outdoors. Audrey also holds a passion for cooking, especially with fresh herbs from her makeshift garden. That is if she can keep her cat Mirchi away from eating all the leaves!
