About me
I am a Registered Play Therapist and a Certified Child and Adolescent Trauma Professional that is licensed in Virginia. I have over 14 years of working in the mental health field ranging from: working in schools providing day treatment services, intensive in-home counseling, crisis intervention / crisis stabilization, in group home settings, and outpatient therapy.
I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including, but not limited to: ADHD, Adoption, Anxiety, Behavioral Issues, Codependency, Depression, LGBTQ+, Life Transitions, ODD, Parenting, Peer Relationships, Self Esteem, Self Harm, Stress, Suicidal Ideations, Teen Violence, and Trauma.
I am not limited to working with children and adolescents though. I also have experience working with adults (18-50). My approach contains trauma informed counseling, an open and non-judgmental space where my clients’ needs are the focus of treatment. My combination of clinical, empathetic, and relational perceptions creates a powerful dynamic that encourages growth and empowerment for my clients.
