Ashley Riker, LMHC
Verified clinicians have had their licenses confirmed by our staff at the time they create their profile. We also require all verified therapists keep their licensing information up to date in order to maintain verified status.
Send your prospective therapist a brief message about why you’re seeking support, your preference for in-person or telehealth services, and how you’d like to be contacted moving forward. Note: Answers to many common questions can be found on the therapist’s profile page. If this is an emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest hospital.
Ashley Riker is an LMHC and a certified clinical trauma professional whose role is one of partnership. She is here to guide clients and shine a light on areas they might not be able to see while offering a safe environment to explore parts of themselves. While she utilizes a mixture of talk therapy and evidence-based practices, creating the therapeutic alliance is key.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Massachusetts who works with children and adults to help them sift through unpleasant emotions, confusing physical symptoms and memories of distressing experiences. Since I started working in the field, I have helped individuals in crisis, families, and students. While each setting may be different, I have found a common thread that people want to feel like they are seen, heard, and connected. I continually strive to help my clients feel that way.
My graduate program gave me the technical skills needed to be an empathic, skilled, and curious counselor, but my undergraduate degree in art taught me how to approach situations in new and creative ways. Talking isn’t the only way to express our thoughts and feelings, and you will find my office full of supplies to get creative in the ways we work through the pain.
