About me

I know life can feel overwhelming, If you feel lost, overwhelmed, or don't know where to start, I'm here, we'll develop a plan together. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor working with adults through individual therapy.

My approach is based on your needs, situation, and personality. There is no "one size fits all" therapy. You are the expert on you, so my approach is "eclectic" pulling from different therapeutic modalities; CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, Solution-Focused... Through the therapeutic relationship, I will provide a safe outlet for communicating difficult experiences, thoughts, and all the feelings that accompany them. Together, we will explore what brought you to therapy. Develop a plan to support you with the ability to work through trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, while gaining education and skills to improve your quality of life.

Frequently asked questions:
How would a client describe you? I asked clients and they answered: Supportive, Direct, Relaxed, Easy going, Intelligent, Safe, Funny, Kind, Good listener, and Helpful

Why did you become a therapist? I became a therapist because I believe no matter the past or current circumstances I believe in your capacity for change, growth, and success.

How do you see your role as a therapist? More than anything I believe my job is to instill hope, to remind you of your ability to thrive. The foundation of any therapeutic relationship is for the client to know they are seen and heard, that they have a safe space where they can say what is weighing on their heart and process the experiences that have impacted them while gaining a vision for the life they could be living. The symptoms we experience often cloud our perceptions and ability to see a positive future, my job is to help you see it and develop a plan to reach it.

What are some fun facts about you? When I'm not doing therapy, I volunteer with a homeless outreach group or am attempting to teach my little 3-inch T-Rex (parrotlet) new words or tricks.
