About me
Licensed in MD, I received my MA degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Counseling Psychology from Washington Adventist University. Through my decade of experience, I have developed my craft of connecting and progressing with young adults and adults working through bipolar, anxieties, self-image and self-harm, mood, and relationship/couples experiences.
I see every person I work with as a unique, resilient individual whose life matters, as well as someone who I may get to know and grow with. I feel that simply being present, actively listening, and earning trust is vital to utilizing therapeutic tools during the counseling process. As an eclectic counselor, I integrate elements from approaches such as person-centered, cognitive behavioral, psychoanalytic, psychodynamic, as well as tuning in to various dialectic/mindfulness exercises.
I believe that together, insight into one’s mental health can be fostered through learning, and healthy change can be realized through guidance.
