I am a trauma-informed clinical counselor and art therapist who utilizes a quick-paced, cognitive-behavioral approach to work through symptoms of anxiety, trauma, and ADHD. I work with children, adolescents, and adults.
About me: I am a licensed clinical counselor at Foresight West Hollywood. I am licensed in three states, and received my training at the Adler Graduate School in Minneapolis Minnesota. I have master's degrees in clinical counseling, marriage and family therapy, and art therapy. My professional experiences include doing art therapy with critically and terminally-ill children and their families as part of the Child and Family Life Program at the University of Minnesota Amplatz Children's Hospital, working with suicidal adolescents and children in the pediatric inpatient unit at Hennepin County Medical Center, and helping run a DBT-focused day treatment program for adults with personality disorders at the Hennepin County Medical Center. Other areas of focus include one-on-one, in-home and group counseling for dual-diagnosis adults and adults in early recovery, as well as crisis assessments and intervention. My particular interest and passion lies with coaching young adults through life transitions and early-adulthood struggles such as family differentiation and creating meaningful friendships post-college. I am also familiar with mood disorders and employ a strengths-based, insight-oriented approach to helping my clients create their best selves.
