I am an experienced psychotherapist with 40 years experience in the fields of eating disorders, depression, anxiety and trauma. I work with all ages of clients in individual therapy as well as groups, couples and families.
I am a Founder of the National Eating Disorders Association and have created 2 other non-profits in the tri-state area: The Pennsylvania Educational Network for Eating Disorders (PENED) and Footsteps for Recovery. I blend a variety of therapeutic approaches according to the individual client's needs, including CBT, DBT, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Psychodynamic therapy, EMDR, Hypnosis and Tapping. I have won several awards for advocacy as well as the Jefferson Award for Public Service. I am a prolific writer and presenter of workshops both locally and nationally. My practice is presently entirely virtual on Zoom and although I do not accept insurance, I will do a sliding scale for those in need. I also run a weekly therapy group for people with eating disorders on Tuesday evenings. Give me a call or text so we may get acquainted!
