Private Practice supporting families, and teens seeking understanding and compassion following or in the midst of trauma. Parenting skills and psycho education are a strong component in the work I do with families as the travel through the systems of change. As a therapist I have and continue to learn about the brain and trauma and how we CAN heal it. As a human in the world of tragic loss and its’ cruel expression of needs, I will work to support you in your place of need. We together will explore and learn how your brain and/ child’s brain was changed through loss and trauma.

I believe that the foundation of mental health healing is found in relationships, in our work together we will rebuild your relationships through scaffolding, remodeling, and practice. We will explore the foundation, find the cracks and mend them. Relationships are the foundation of humanity, and we all deserve ones we are willing to work for.
I am the mother of 1 birth child, 1 stepchild, 2 adopted, and have been mom to over 30 children of hard places that I said goodbye to through foster care in just 6 years. I worked as a social worker for the state of WA, a case manager with a private foster-care agency, then finally as a program manager for two teen group homes before my clinical journey began. In each of these roles I quickly learned what you may already know, there is not enough support available to those in need. These experiences led me to know that TRAUMA is the realest pain we face in life, it affects our every moment both awake and asleep. I decided I needed to do more for my community, taking me back to graduate school to earn my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. From my education I have learned the greater impact that society is experiencing as we make room for change in our lives resulting in higher levels with depression and anxiety then ever documented and rising.
For the last couple of years, I have been working with children and families through a community service agency continuing to enhance my skills preparing to collaborate with you. I have been told that I have a natural need to advocate and support clients that find themselves managing trauma. I have a passion for families that have been affected by trauma and have a desire to heal. My passion is to be there for you and those that care about you. Trauma changes us in a biological way, and we have the POWER to change in ways that we choose, the struggles is having the tools and knowledge to do it. This is where I can help, I spend hours reading research and strategies to bring you the best and most innovative options to be and feel better. As a therapist I have and continue to learn about the brain and trauma and how we CAN heal it. As a human in the world of tragic loss and its’ cruel expression of needs, I will work to support you in your place of need. We together will explore and learn how your brain and/ child’s brain has changed through loss and trauma.
