About me
I am an experienced Clinical Psychologist with special interest in working with children and their families , group therapies focusing on social skills and providing support to parents and families. I love working with children ages three years and up with behavioral problems, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, anxiety and depression, childhood trauma or grief. I also work with adults with relationship problems, stress-related disorders, anxiety, depression, and couples.
Clinical Orientation: My working models is integrative approach with Psychodynamic, CBT, Family Systems orientation and Solution-focused techniques. I also incorporate Play and Sand Tray therapy techniques in my intervention approach especially working with children. I believe in the uniqueness of every individual, hence strives to tailor treatment/ intervention per each individual or couples’ needs.
I am a Resident Clinical Psychologist, with extensive experience in providing holistic, integrative psychotherapy services to children, individuals, and their families. She also has experience working with victims of abuse and culturally diverse clients. I am committed to and interested in the total wellbeing of the individual as well as their family. Hence, I work from a strength-based approach, focusing on both the historical bases of current difficulties and how to cope effectively in the present. I have past and continuing experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and couples in diverse populations and settings with behavioral and social problems. I am specifically interested in fostering growth within a child/adolescent while enabling them to be their best in all areas of their lives.
I am a graduate of American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University, Washington D.C. Campus. I provide individual, family, and couples therapy in a supportive, respectful, and compassionate environment geared towards one attaining an understanding of self, recurrent behaviors patterns, and relationships. I also conducts psychological evaluations for children and adults to assist in treatment planning and intervention (IEPs and 504 plans). I am originally from Ghana in West Africa and married with four children. I love soccer, the outdoors, cooking, and playing with her children.
