About me

Find hope in yourself and the world around you. As a seasoned therapist I help you heal your anxiety, depression, and traumas so that you can experience more peace, purpose, and happiness.

It's true, you are strong and could probably keep muscling through life on your own...but at what cost? It doesn’t have to feel this hard – there’s a better way. You deserve a life that feels easier, lighter, and more meaningful – whether that’s shifting your critical thoughts, changing unhelpful behaviors, finding healthier relationships, or releasing the emotional baggage that is no longer serving you. I’m here to help.

I view myself as a guide along your healing journey. I use warmth, empathy, and a touch of humor to help you find and reach your dreams. Therapy provides you with a safe space to explore your pain – and also to manifest joy!

In session we talk about your worries so that you can release their burden and feel supported. I teach you proven techniques to directly access your deepest inner voice and find answers to your problems. In addition to talk therapy, we can tackle your struggles with an innovative methods like art therapy, brain science, and tapping into the unconscious. This unique combination of methods helps you learn about yourself and illuminates important insights that will help you feel relief and move towards a more fulfilled life.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LCSW), Board-certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC), Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), and a Certified Trauma Specialist (ITR-CTS)

I received my undergraduate degree at Stetson University. I hold two graduate degrees: a Master's in Art Therapy from Florida State University and a Master's in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. Currently, I'm writing my dissertation for my PhD from Pacifica. Beyond my formal education, I have extensive training in the Instinctual Trauma Response (ITR) method (which combines techniques similar to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Reconsolidation of Traumatic Memory (RTM) therapy as well as Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)).

My clinical experience for over fifteen years has included work with children, teens, and adults who are suffering from anxiety, depression, and trauma as well as people who are coping with chronic and life threatening medical illnesses. As a former elite and collegiate athlete, I have inside expertise in supporting athletes who are transitioning out of their sport due to injury, retirement, or graduation.

For ten years I was on faculty at the University of Florida, teaching and doing research in creative thinking, compassion, art therapy, and arts in medicine.

I have the privilege to meet and work with people, like you, at some of the most tender and critical times in life. It is an honor to hold this space and to help people make lasting, meaningful change. I am here. There is hope.
