About me
My goal as a therapist is to provide a compassionate and non-judgmental space for you to explore what might be keeping you stuck in unhelpful patterns. Certain habits probably made us feel safe at one point, but usually don’t work as well as we get older and can often lead to feelings of anxiety, sadness, and burnout.
I view us as partners -you are the expert in your own life and my role is to provide support, new skills, and education to help facilitate positive change. Together we can identify improved ways of engaging in life, including the ups and downs that come with it.
I primarily utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, or ACT. ACT is an evidence-based therapy that teaches us how to have a better relationship with our thoughts and feelings so we don’t feel so stuck by them, freeing us to create the life we want. In our sessions, we will explore unhelpful patterns, learn ways to get unstuck, identify what you really want out of life, and make a plan for you to go after it.
