About me

I understand that life can be challenging, and sometimes, we need clarity. That's why I use a Cognitive-Behavioral approach with a Somatic framework to explore the mind, body, and spirit. My approach is rooted in hope, authenticity, truth, love, and awareness. Once we begin, you will encounter a kind and accepting environment that is nonjudgmental and full of hope. Everything we discuss is done in a confidential space as we look to achieve a greater understanding of ourselves and life. This approach is designed to help you reach your goals and find healing by working through any emotional or mental difficulties you may be facing.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (Texas License # 85602). In 2007, I received a Master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (Psychology, Communication, Criminal Justice) from the University of Texas at Tyler. After several years of working with outreach ministries and teaching in higher education, I sensed the call to return to school for a licensure in clinical counseling. I received a second Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Texas at Tyler in 2020. My clinical training includes intensive case management with the TCOOMMI division (Texas Correctional Office on Offenders with Medical or Mental Impairments) through the Andrews Center Behavioral Healthcare System, serving clients with co-occurring psychiatric and substance use disorders.
