About me
I am a marriage and family therapist and I have been in practice for 8 years. I worked for several years in community mental health with adolescents and their families. I stepped away for a few years to raise my children and three years ago I got into telehealth. I think it's convenient for all parties involved! Based on our current societal climate, I deal frequently with anxiety and depression as they're very prevalent. I have quite a few tips and tricks to help you out!
My approach is very rationally based; I use CBT which focuses on working through our issues in a very rational and concrete plane. I have been described as being very warm but I do like to add humor in when appropriate because I think it helps alleviate the mental weight that we carry with us. I want you to feel comfortable almost as if you're talking to an old friend and not a stiff professional. I hope when you leave a session with me, you have felt heard and understood. I want you to walk away with tools you can use in your everyday life to alleviate the burdens you carry. But most of all, I want you to walk away feeling lighter and stronger knowing that it will get better.
