I specialize in treating dissociative disorders and insomnia. I utilize a trauma-informed and attachment-informed approach for trauma.
Working collaboratively with clients is important to me. My trauma clients repeatedly tell me that I have a very calm, safe presence. Whether it is insomnia, trauma, or some other issue, it is important to me to explain what I'm doing or why I'm suggesting the approach that I am. I want you to understand what I'm thinking and then share your thoughts with me. There is usually more than one way to reach a goal and the way you are most comfortable with may be the best option. I am a big proponent of self-compassion and compassion-focused therapy. The single biggest factor in your therapy outcome is your relationship with your therapist. It's really important! I want my people to know we're a good match before we start, so I offer a free consultation. And if we're not a great match, I'll help you find someone else.
