About me
I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Social Work with a Minor in Psychology from Lewis University. Currently, I am in the internship stage of my Master's program at Governors State University. I have a background interning at Park Lawn with individuals with disabilities and volunteering at Heart Haven Outreach, working with at-risk youth.
I once heard a quote that said “the way we do anything, is the way we do everything”. This quote resonates in the way I approach clients. I believe mindfulness and self-awareness are important in today’s world. If we give ourselves the time and understanding to live our fullest lives, we are able to give others the same. My skills include incorporating mindfulness into my practice of CBT and strengths-based therapy. My experience lies in working with individuals with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities. As well as working with individuals with severe mental illness, substance abuse, chronic medical conditions, Alzheimer's/Dementia, and the geriatric population.
